The April 2024 Urban Core Group event will be about the proposed Historic Northeast Lofts project. The project site is the current location of Hardesty Storage and is located at 5401 Independence Avenue. The building has a long history and was originally used as a federal records center. The project site is over 1.2 million square feet. The proposed re-use of this site will include approximately 400 apartments as well as commercial space and a day care center. The project is being developed by the Arnold Development Group, also known as Arnold Imaging has undertaken several local development projects and has project underway all across the US. The company is headquartered in Kansas. Representatives will be on-hand to discuss the project, show the latest drawings of the use and layout and answer questions. This 120 million dollar affordable housing project will be a significant impact to the local community and beyond.
